“This is the third year for this event and we’re hoping to have another successful fundraiser for Illinois Special Olympics,” said Mike Weibler from the Westmont Police Department, who is assisting with the coordination of the event. “This event helped the Westmont Police Department achieve its goal of raising over $16,000 last year. We invite the entire community to get involved and support us in our efforts.”
The volleyball fundraiser for Special Olympics will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 6:30 P.M. at the Westmont High School, 909 Oakwood Drive. The tournament will feature four teams including the Westmont Police Department, Westmont Fire Department, and two teams from CUSD 201. The event is open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door and concessions will be available. There will also be a 55” TV raffle and a 50/50 raffle. The event will also feature a rhythmic dance routine performed by local Special Olympics athletes.
“The Westmont Fire Department support our brothers and sisters in blue at the Police Department,” said Westmont Fire Chief Steve Riley. “We are happy to help them support the Special Olympics. This year we are playing the Police Department in Round one so this should be exciting match the we all are looking forward too.”

7pm - Semi-Finals

- CUSD201 Westmont Senior High Staff vs. CUSD201 Westmont Junior High/Elementary Staff
Halftime - Rhythmic Dance Performance
8pm - Finals
- Consolation Match
- Championship Match
