Each year, the Village of Westmont and the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau seek nominations for the Westmont Citizen of the Year Award. The award is given to a resident who has demonstrated exemplary volunteerism and community service during the past year. Last year’s recipient was Steve Golembiewski.
“It was quite an honor to receive this award,” says Golembiewski, who has been extremely involved with community events such as Taste of Westmont, Westmont Cruisin’ Nights, Wicked West Fest, the annual Pet Promenade, the Haunted Forest, and more. “I strongly encourage everyone to get involved in the community. There are so many opportunities.”
Nominations must be submitted to the Westmont Chamber of Commerce, One South Cass Avenue, by noon on Friday, March 8, 2019. Click on the link below to make an online nomination. Printed nomination forms are available at the Westmont Chamber office and the Westmont Metra Station.
