The Westmont Fire Department recently presented their 2017 Annual Report at a Village of Westmont Public Safety Committee Meeting. The report highlights achievements in operations, fire prevention, EMS, and public education. Some of the 2017 highlights include:
- Received first ISO Class 1 rating from the Insurance Services Organization - a rare distinction with Westmont Fire Department possibly being on the only accredited department in the United States using part-time staff and having a Class 1 ISO
- Relocated Westmont’s dispatch communications center from Downers Grove to the Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center
- Received delivery of a new 2017 Pierce Ladder Truck
- Received fourth reaccreditation from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International
- EMS Director Lynn Dralle received the 2017 Earl J. Field Leadership Award, which recognizes dedication to the promotion of EMS excellence
“I am very proud to present the 2017 Fire Department Annual Report,” said Fire Chief David Weiss. “I would like to thank all of the members of the Westmont Fire Department for their dedication and service to our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I would also like to thank our residents and business owners for their support.”
