“We’ve really had an incredible year,” said CUSD201 Board President Marie Charlton. “I’m very proud of our teachers and staff for receiving these well-deserved recognitions. I feel this success speaks to our high level of commitment to excellence for our entire school district. An education in Westmont schools is now a sought after choice for parents and families.”
Over the past year, three CUSD 201 administrators earned exciting honors. Westmont Jr. High School Assistant Principal Amy Quattrone earned the distinction of the Illinois Principal’s Association 2017 Assistant Principal Award in DuPage County, while John Jonak earned the Illinois Principal’s Association in DuPage County 2016 Principal Award. Also, Jack Baldermann earned the title of Illinois Principal of the Year on behalf of the Illinois Principal’s Association and was listed as one of the top 3 High School Principals in the country.
“Jack, John, and Amy are three great examples of the excellent staff we have at CUSD201,” said Superintendent Kevin Carey. “Our district did not earn these honors by coincidence. I feel we have created an environment for success throughout our organization from our elected officials and administrators to our teachers and support staff. And we continue to push ourselves to do even better. It makes our jobs fun when hard work pays off with the ultimate reward being a great education and school experience for our students.”
