Village of Westmont
Date Issued: Oct 16, 2017
The holidays are right around the corner and in the spirit of the season the Westmont First Committee will be hosting a Community Food Drive to benefit the People’s Resource Center (PRC) Food Pantry. Members of the Westmont First Committee will be at the Trick or Treat Trail this Saturday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to hand out donation bags for people to take home and fill with non-perishable food and household items. Residents are asked to bring the filled donation bags to the PRC office or the Holly Days Tree Decorating Day event.
“We’ve been working with PRC for several years on this event and it’s been very successful,” said Village Trustee Bruce Barker, who is the chair of the Westmont First Committee. “The People’s Resource Center does an outstanding job serving people in the community who are in need. We are happy to do whatever we can to support their mission.”
