On Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 10am-2pm, the Westmont Police Department is partnering with and supporting Real Estate to the Rescue and Lost Dogs Illinois to help pet owners. The event will be held rain or shine under the pavilion at Veterans Memorial Park, 55 E. Richmond Street. The event will give out free microchips to the first 100 pets. There will also be free ID tags, leashes, and collars will be fitted to your pet.
Coffee and snacks will be provided as well as information from event sponsors including West Suburban Veterinary, Pet Supplies Plus, Pitty Que, and Standard Market.
Please be aware of the following guidelines:
* Dogs showing signs of respiratory illness will not be served
* All dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier
* All cats must be in a carrier
* Pets requiring muzzles must be muzzled
* You must be able to handle your pet around other animals
* There may be long wait lines - Be prepared to feed, water, and clean up after your pet if needed
