“Our Police Department has been doing an incredible job and we want to show them our support,” said Bruce Barker, chair of the Westmont First Committee. “In the last month, the Westmont Police Department and FOP hosted several fundraising events for Special Olympics, held their annual open house where they had a record number of Police Department tours, and also coordinated a diversity training event. The goal of this program is to let them know that we support them and the important job they do.”
The Blue Ribbon Project offers free blue ribbons to Westmont residents and businesses so that they can tie the ribbon around trees on their property. This project has permission for ribbons to be tied around parkway trees as well.
Free blue ribbons can be picked up at the following locations:
Westmont Chamber of Commerce - 1 S. Cass
O'Reilly Auto Parts - 230 W. Ogden
Westmont Paint & Decorating - 6372 S. Cass
Bales Ace Hardware - 20 E. Quincy
