“Over the past several months, we’ve been collecting information and processing data as we develop next steps,” said Westmont Communications Director Larry McIntyre. “We’ve had a number of people in the community step up to get involved, several of whom have a considerable amount of marketing and branding experience. We’re extremely fortunate to have them be involved with this process.” McIntyre is coordinating the community’s branding initiative along with Amy Quattrone, who is the public relations committee chair for CUSD 201 and a member of the Village’s Strategic Plan Oversight Team.
The Village has scheduled its next branding meeting for Tuesday, April 18, 7 p.m. at Westmont Centre, 1 S. Cass Avenue, lower level. The entire community is invited to participate.
“We’re planning to give a branding program update first,” added Quattrone, “and then work in smaller groups to address specific topics such as website redesign, branding guidelines, regional perception surveys, social media initiatives, and a community pride contest. If you’re interested in branding and passionate about our community, then we hope you will attend.”
