On Saturday August 6, 2016 Ty Warner Park, 700 Blackhawk Dr. is holding the 2nd annual Kids Burn Camp: I AM ME charity event from 11am-3pm. This event is sponsored by the Westmont Fire Department, Westmont Lions Club, and AAMN (American Assembly of Nursing) a student group from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison, IL.
"It's a great organization that helps the lives of so many kids that have been burned in fires." said Robert Ratcliff, firefighter-paramedic for Westmont Fire Dept.
The event will have food, live music by the band Portrait of Sound, car smash, bouncy houses, Trackless Thomas the Tank train to give rides throughout the park, facepainters, balloon artists, and lots of prizes to be raffled off.
All money donated goes towards paying for kids that have been burned in fires to meet and camp with other kids that have been burned in fires as well. This allows for kids to see there are other kids like them and not feel ashamed of how they look. Come on out, spend time with the family
having fun and supporting a great charity that makes a difference in the lives of kids that have been burned in fires.
