The State Legislature recently approved extending the date for accepting candidates’ petitions for elected office. The new date and time for petitions to be filed by is Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 5 p.m. Petitions must be filed at the Westmont Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street. Previously, the filing deadline was on Christmas Eve.
