Westmont Special Events Corporation (WSEC) is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization that has the mission of coordinating and assisting with community events. While the Taste of Westmont and Westmont Cruisin’ Nights & Street Fair have been extremely popular events, the WSEC is always looking for ways to improve community events. “We want to get this survey out to the public right away,” says WSEC President John Chorney, “to get people’s ideas and suggestions quickly just after the event.”
“It’s important to keep the community dialogue going and get feedback from residents, businesses, and guests to the community,” says Larry McIntyre, Village of Westmont Communications Director. “Obviously, these events create an impact on the downtown, but they also draw tens of thousands of people to Westmont every summer. We want to gauge community feedback regarding these popular community event and always strive to make improvements when possible.”
At this time, the WSEC is asking citizens to take time to complete a quick survey regarding the 2016 Taste of Westmont and Westmont Cruisin’ Nights & Street Fair. Information from the survey will be used in the planning of next year’s events. A link to the survey is listed below:

“We want to thank the entire community and all of the volunteers who get involved with these events,” says Amy Quattrone, who helps coordinate the WSEC volunteer effort. “We couldn’t do it without you. If people are interested in learning more about the WSEC or how to become a volunteer, they can sign up through the survey or contact our office.”
