Last year, the Community Coat Drive coordinated by the employees of the Village of Westmont had a record-breaking year. Over 475 winter clothing items were collected and distributed to area families in need. This year’s drive will begin the week after Thanksgiving, on Monday, Nov. 30. The drive will end on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016. Collection boxes will be located at the Westmont Park District, Westmont Library, Holmes School, Maercker School, Manning School, Miller School, Westmont Jr. High School, Westview Hills Middle School, Westmont High School, Westmont Fire Department, Westmont Police Department, and the Westmont Village Hall. All collected materials will be given to the Peoples Resource Center and distributed to local families in need.
