Each week during the month of November, residents can put out up to two kraft paper bags of soft yard waste including grass clippings and leaves, free of charge. Yard waste is picked up on the same day as your regular garbage service by Waste Management. Only kraft paper yard waste bags can be used for this free program. Additional yard waste bags beyond the first two, as well as other yard waste containers, will require yard waste stickers. Stickers can be purchased at Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy St.; Bales Ace Hardware, 20 E. Quincy St.; Jewel-Osco, Cass & Ogden, 75th & Cass, 55th & Holmes. For more information, contact Waste Management at wm.com or 800-796-9696.
