On Saturday, September 19, the Westmont Fire Department, Westmont Lions Club, and the student body group AAMN from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison will be holding a jointly sponsored charity event at Ty Warner Park from Noon to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Kids Burn Camp I AM ME.
There will be a live band, items for raffle, food, and fun activities for the entire family. The entire community is invited to come out and help support the charity. I AM ME helps kids that have been severely burned in fires by getting them together to share their feelings and see that there are others like them so that they feel connected to others who have had similar experiences.
