Village of Westmont
Date Issued: July 2, 2015
The Village of Westmont and the Westmont Park District will once again co-host the Independence Day Celebration at Ty Warner Park on the 4th of July. Activities begin at 4 p.m. and continue throughout the evening right up until the Fireworks Spectacular, which is sponsored by WestmontAutoMile.com and begins at 9:30 p.m. The event includes live music, food and fun for the whole family.
“Every year we receive rave reviews about our fireworks presentation,” says Westmont Mayor Ron Gunter. “We want to thank all of the participating car dealerships in the Westmont Auto Mile for their generous sponsorship of this event. Without their support, these fireworks would not be possible.”
Visitors are reminded to arrive early as some streets and pedestrian walkways are closed leading up to the start of the fireworks. Parking is available at the Westmont Jr. High and Sr. High School parking lots, 944 and 909 Oakwood Drive. The Westmont Police Department reminds everyone to drive cautiously as there will be thousands of pedestrians as well as altered traffic patterns around Ty Warner Park.
