“The Village of Westmont has an excellent reputation throughout the area for the incredible work our Public Works Department does with snow removal and other winter maintenance,” says Village Manager Ron Searl. “With this past winter being so extreme, and our Public Works staff rising to the challenge to continue their excellent service to the community, we’re happy to announce that our entire Public Works Department has been selected as our first recipients of our new Customer Service Appreciation Award.”
The new Village of Westmont Customer Service Appreciation program was created to recognize excellent service performed by village staff. The recognition will be awarded on a monthly basis at a Village Board meeting. At the end of each year, one of the 12 award recipients will be selected as the Village of Westmont Employee of the Year and recognized at the Westmont Annual Awards Banquet hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
“Customer service is vital to the success of any business or organization,” says Trustee Jim Addington, chair of the Village Administration & Finance Committee. “As an organization, we will be taking a look at how we do things and strive to make improvements wherever we can. With that initiative, we want to recognize members of our team when they excel in what they do. The Public Works Department was an excellent choice for our first award.”
