Village of Westmont
Date Issued: April 2, 2014
The Village of Westmont has been designated as an official location for National Take Back Day. The program will be held at the Westmont Police Department, 500 N. Cass Avenue, on April 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This program is designed to provide citizens with an opportunity to safely dispose of old and unwanted prescription drugs,” says Deputy Police Chief Ross Brenza. “The goal of the program is to reduce substance abuse, especially amongst teens, as well as prevent potentially dangerous drugs from entering the fresh water supply.”
Members of the Westmont Police Department and the DEA will receive all medications being delivered to the collection site and will ensure safe disposal of these drugs.
