Westmont, Illinois – Date Issued: November 20, 2023

Since 2014, the Westmont Public Library (WPL) has been regularly featuring the work of area artists. Over the past decade, more than 70 artists have been featured in the WPL Art Gallery. Next year will be the 10th anniversary of this popular program.
“Our goal has been to not only beautify our facility, but also celebrate the art of our local artists,” said WPL Director Julia Coen. “The art exhibits have been a big hit and we look forward to continuing this program in the future.”
The most recent art gallery debut features the work of Lea Moore-Beulah, who has worked in town for the past 9 years with the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Lea has been an active artist for almost 30 years. She has participated in several art shows and judged at the NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) competitions. Currently, Lea is also a Village of Bolingbrook Arts Council Commissioner as a member of the Art Exhibit Committee and the Digital Design Committee.
“I want to thank the Westmont Library for this opportunity,’ said Moore-Beulah. “This is a great vehicle for artists to present their work to the public.” Lea Moore-Beulah’s artwork will be featured at the Westmont Library through December 12th. Following are some of the upcoming planned exhibits for the WPL Art Gallery.
