At a recent board meeting, the Westmont Village Board approved a Proclamation in support of CUSD201 students for their advocacy of Ukraine. At the meeting, Westmont High School student Natasha Shamarina-Ege shared details regarding her involvement with this initiative and her plan to participate in the Ukraine Action Summit in Washington D.C. Natasha is one of several WHS students who are working on this initiative to provide awareness and support for Ukraine during their conflict with Russia. The students have also invited the Village to meet with them to discuss the topic and their future goals. The Village of Westmont appreciates the efforts of these students and looks forward to hearing more about this initiative.
