Due to the extreme heat, Westmont Special Events Corporation, working in cooperation with public agencies, has decided to implement a modified Westmont Cruisin’ Nights plan for tonight, Thursday, August 24.
The event is not canceled, however, the following changes have been made for tonight’s event:
- Cass Avenue will NOT be closed
- Classic & cool cars, as well as guests to the event and downtown Westmont, are invited to park in public spaces including parallel parking spots & open parking lots
- No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the street or public right of way - alcoholic beverages must be purchased, served and consumed on the property of the business
- All live music will be moved indoors
Westmont Special Events is an independent, volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization which hosts, coordinates, and assists with numerous community events throughout the year including Westmont Cruisin' Nights, Taste of Westmont, Muddy Waters Blues Exhibit, Creative Arts Network programs, downtown window mural program, and much more.
