There will be BNSF construction work at both the railroad crossing at Cass Avenue as well as the Westmont Train Station on Saturday and Sunday, August 26 & 27. During this time, the Westmont train station will be closed and no trains will stop in Westmont. Please note that the entire BNSF line will follow the usual Sunday schedule for the entire weekend. BNSF riders who normally use Westmont are advised to use the Clarendon Hills Station during the closure. The train schedule can be found at metra.com.
Additionally, the Cass Avenue crossing will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Saturday, August 26, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. While Cass Avenue is closed, the nearest railroad crossings available to motorists will be Prospect Avenue in Clarendon Hills and Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove. Detour signs will be posted.
