[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian Fatality Near Train Station

Westmont, Illinois - Date Issued: August 17, 2023

On August 17, 2023 at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Westmont Fire Department received a call that a pedestrian was struck by a METRA commuter train near the Westmont Train Depot. The Westmont Fire Department arrived at 3:01 p.m. and the individual was pronounced deceased upon arrival. 

The incident is under investigation by METRA, no other information is available at this time. For media inquiries, please call METRA at 312-322-6776.
