At the June 12 Westmont Environmental Improvement Committee (EIC) meeting, Trustee Bruce Barker and Mike Brink from Waste Management (WM) presented the Green Recycling Contest Awards to Westmont businesses and residents.
“This contest asked the community to share some of their recycling and other “green” practices with us, and then our committee reviewed the submissions and picked the top four entries,” said Trustee Barker, who is the chair of the EIC. “We want to thank everyone who participated and we congratulate the finalists.”

- Oakwood Electric & Generator, 237 N. Cass Avenue - Best Small Business Recycler
“Waste Management is pleased to be part of this program,” said Mike Brink. “Recycling is a very important part of our business and this contest is a great way to recognize those who are dedicated to protecting our environment.” Each of the contest winners will receive a one month recycling and waste hauling credit up to $500 on their bill.
