On June 2, 2023, EMS Director Captain Lynn Dralle completed her final shift with the Westmont Fire Department after 30 years of service to the community. Dralle’s retirement ceremony included the presentation of a Village of Westmont service award presented by Mayor Ron Gunter.
“Captain Dralle has been an integral part of our organization for the past 30 years,” said Fire Chief Steve Riley. “She has been instrumental in building the next generation of paramedics, developing leaders within our EMS ranks, and mentoring our chief officers as well as our entire company. We will miss Lynn’s dedication to serving Westmont and our Fire Department.”
Dralle started with the Westmont Fire Department on contract in 1993. She was then hired full-time by the Village in 1997 as the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director. Dralle was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2003, and then in 2018 promoted to the rank of Captain. Over the years, Lynn has been recognized for her excellent service to the community. In 2017, she was the recipient of the Earl J. Field Leadership Award, given annually to a member of the Good Samaritan EMS system who has exhibited dedication to the promotion of EMS excellence during their career.
The Village of Westmont thanks Lynn for her many years of service to the community and wishes her a long and happy retirement.
