The Taiwanese Association of American the Greater Chicago Chapter (TAA-Chicago) is hosting a free special event at Westmont High School titled, A Touching Encounter with Music and Dance. Performers from the Taipei National University of the Arts are currently touring the United States and Canada. The event is in celebration of the Taiwanese American Heritage Week, which was designated by the U.S. Congress in 1999 to recognize and honor the cultures, traditions, and contributions of Taiwanese Americans in the United States. The presentation will be performed by members of the National Taiwan University of Art.
The performance will be June 5, 6:30 p.m. at the Westmont High School Auditorium, 909 Oakwood Drive, in Westmont. This free event is open to the public and entertaining for all ages. Guests should reserve a free ticket via the online signup form.
