As an official Dementia-Friendly community, the Village of Westmont, Westmont Public Library, and other public agencies continue to promote education and awareness opportunities to engage the public regarding this difficult topic.
These programs are designed for persons with dementia, their caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about this topic. Following is information on the next presentation:
HEALTHY LIVING FOR YOUR BRAIN & BODY
Wednesday, June 7, 1:00-2:00pm
Learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement. Use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association.
PLEASE NOTE - Dementia Friendly programs will be on hiatus for the rest of the summer. Look out for programs to resume in the fall.
These programs are presented by Aspired Living of Westmont and Birches Assisted Living and Memory Care. Each presentation requires advance registration. Registration for this program opens on May 15.
