Spring Fling Festival & Race to the Flag 5K May 26-28

Everyone is invited to Ty Warner Park in Westmont over Memorial Day weekend for the Spring Fling Festival, hosted by the Westmont Lions Club, and the Race to the Flag 5K Fundraiser for the People’s Resource Center.

SPRING FLING FESTIVAL

The Spring Fling Festival hosted by the Westmont Lions Club is a free event complete with live music, food vendors, an amateur BBQ competition, commercial and craft vendors, and an all-ages carnival.

“With warm weather approaching, we’re all looking forward to our summer events and festivals,” said Spring Fling Coordinator Dan Buczkowski.  “We do our best to have a local flavor from food to entertainment.  Our Backyard BBQ Competition has been a big hit and provides an opportunity for all of our local grillers to show off their talents.  We invite the entire community to come out and support this event.”

RACE TO THE FLAG 5K

The Race to the Flag 5K is a fundraiser hosted by the Westmont Park District and community volunteers.  Proceeds from the event benefit the People's Resource Center (PRC), which has a facility in Westmont that helps area residents in need.  

PRC helps area citizens in a variety of ways and provides basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing assistance services. In addition, PRC provides job, computer, and literacy training programs as well as art empowerment classes for DuPage County residents.
