Water maintenance work near 60th Street and Deming Place that was scheduled for today has not been completed and additional areas have been impacted. The following areas are being advised to boil their drinking water for the next 3 days:
* South Wilmette - from 59th Street to 60th Street as well as the 800 block
* 60th Street - from Wilmette to Cass Avenue
* Deming Place
We ask for everyone’s patience during this inconvenience. Additional maintenance crews have been assigned to this repair so that it can be completed as quickly as possible. Addresses directly affected by this on-going infrastructure repair will be notified with an informational door hanger. The estimated completion time for this project is early morning on Friday, February 24.
Please be advised that we recommend that you continue to boil all drinking water for the three (3) days after the work has been completed. This is a safety precaution to protect customers in accordance with both state and federal law. The State and Federal Environmental Protection Agencies require notification of residents when low pressure conditions exist to protect against the possibility of contaminants entering the system.
