“Our budget preparation process takes several months so that each of our departments can comprehensively review and prioritize their requests,” said Westmont Finance Director Jamie Cunningham. “Once a draft budget is completed, then it is shared publicly with the Village Board and the community at large for feedback before final consideration and approval. The Village of Westmont fiscal year and new budget begins on May 1.”
On April 13, 2023, Finance Director Cunningham and Assistant Village Manager Spencer Parker will present the proposed Village of Westmont budget for 2023-2024. The meeting will be at the Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street and will begin at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be open to the public and an agenda will be published closer to the meeting date. The Village Board is expected to vote on the new budget at their April 20, 2023 meeting.
The Village of Westmont fiscal budget runs each year from May 1 to April 30. The Westmont village budget is typically approved in April so that the new budget is in place by May 1.
