The VIllage Board recently approved the creation of a new Environmental Improvement Commission (EIC). The Village had an EIC in the past, but the commission was dissolved several years ago.
“The environment should be an important issue for everyone,” says Trustee Harold Barry III, whose father served on the previous EIC. “This commission will give people who are passionate about these topics a forum to discuss and make recommendations that will be for the benefit of the entire community.”
Currently, the Village is seeking community volunteers who would be interested in being considered to serve on the Environmental Improvement Commission. EIC members will help define the mission of this group as well as set commission agendas and goals. Citizens interested in being considered can sign up online by clicking the link below.
