Earlier this year, the Village of Westmont introduced the new WESTMONT 311 citizens request system on the Village of Westmont website. The system can be used by citizens to send a request regarding non-emergency private property and public way concerns to village staff to be reviewed and addressed.
Citizens can use WESTMONT 311 to make requests regarding a variety of issues including: code violations, street and sidewalk repairs, water quality concerns, public property tree maintenance, car seat safety checks, non-emergency anonymous crime tips, suggested website updates, and more.
It should be noted, WESTMONT 311 is NOT intended for emergencies. Remember, in case of an emergency or suspicious situation, do not hesitate - dial 9-1-1 immediately.
There are 4 basic steps for citizens to follow when using WESTMONT 311. From the Village of Westmont website at westmont.illinois.gov, citizens will click on the - icon, then follow these steps:
STEP 1 - Click on the link to the WESTMONT 311 landing page
STEP 2 - Once on the WESTMONT 311 landing page, there are 4 options:
- Sign in to an existing account *
- Sign up for a new account *
- Review an existing service request (must have an account)
- Create a new request (requests can be made anonymously, however, you will need to sign in if you wish to track the follow-up to your request)
* NOTE: You must sign up for an account if you want to have the option to follow up on any requests. Additionally, if you have an account, your submissions will be a matter of public record and therefore subject to Freedom of Information Act, FOIA, requests.
STEP 3 - Click on the CREATE A NEW REQUEST button
STEP 4 - Once you are on the MAKE A REQUEST page, you will need to do the following:
- ENTER A REQUEST TYPE using the dropdown menu
- SELECT A LOCATION by typing in the address of the request or clicking on the map
- ENTER REQUEST DETAILS in the description box
- ADD AN IMAGE if you want to upload a picture regarding the request
- ENTER CONTACT INFORMATION if you wish for staff to contact you regarding your request, however, you will have the option to submit anonymously
After you make your request, the submission will be sent to appropriate village staff to review and address. If you need technical support regarding the use of WESTMONT 311, please contact us at 311support@westmont.il.gov.
