The Westmont Police Department will be offering two community outreach programs, each with the goal of creating positive interactions with the public and sharing information regarding the duties and responsibility of law enforcement. Sign-up for these classes has begun. Class sizes are limited. Masks will not be required.
CITIZENS’ POLICE ACADEMY
The 2022 Westmont Citizens’ Police Academy program is an eight-week course that will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. from September 28 through November 9 with graduation being held on November 16. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and live, work, or be associated with Westmont.
ADULT CITIZENS’ POLICE ACADEMY SIGN-UP FORM
JR. CITIZENS’ POLICE ACADEMY
Additionally, the Police Department will host a Jr. Citizens’ Police Academy from September 29 to November 3. This six-week course will be held on Thursday evenings. Class times are generally evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., but will be confirmed at a later date. Participants must be 12-to-15 years old and live in Westmont or attend a school in Westmont.
