Deputy Fire Chief Kevin O’Hare was recently appointed to the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association EMS Committee. The EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Committee advocates for all EMS services in Illinois and supports first responders, firefighters, and paramedics. The mission of the IFCA is to function as the Illinois representative for the fire service through inclusive participation of diverse fire organizations by being proactive through communications at all levels.

The Illinois Fire Chiefs Association (IFCA) represents over 1500 Chief Fire Officers from more than 500 Fire Departments and Fire Districts throughout Illinois. Its members serve their communities as career fire officers, part-time officers, contracted professionals, and volunteer chief officers. The IFCA has been at the forefront of assuring that the Fire, Rescue and EMS provided to our communities is the best in the nation.
