At the March 24 Public Works Committee meeting, Director Mike Ramsey presented the 2021 Public Works Department annual report to the Village Board as well as recognized several staff members for their service. The report encompassed various accomplishments of the Public Works Department in 2021 as well as announced plans for 2022. The 2021 Public Works Annual Report has been published on the Village website.
Ramsey also announced Rose Gross as the 2021 Public Works Employee of the Year. Rose serves as an Public Works Administrative Assistant and has worked with the Village of Westmont for 23 years. “Rose’s commitment to public service can be seen by many and we appreciate all she does for Public Works and the Village of Westmont,” said Ramsey.
Ramsey also recognized Public Works staff Melissa Brendle and Jon Yeater for 20 years of service with the Village of Westmont. Brendle has served in a variety of roles over the years and is currently the Street Division Supervisor. Yeater serves as the Village Forester and has been instrumental in a number of environmental projects including the No Mow Pollinators Program, the creation of Monarch Waystations, and annual Arbor Day events.
““I am very proud of our Public Works team,” said Rasmey. “Our staff works hard throughout the year to keep our village infrastructure well maintained for our citizens.
