With the recent rain and high levels of floodwater, there is increased mosquito activity in the area. Multiple broods of mosquitoes have hatched and more will continue to emerge this week.
Mosquito Spraying
The Village of Westmont contracts with Clarke Mosquito Management to help control mosquito populations. The next community-wide mosquito spraying treatment is scheduled for July 15, 2021. This will be the second application for mosquito control this season. The product used for this application is OMRI-listed and approved for use in residential areas. The treatment is applied by a truck and is performed between dusk and dawn when adult mosquitoes are most active. At various times throughout the year, there will be additional treatments applied throughout our community.
