[ARCHIVED] Railroad Crossing Closure at Fairview Begins May 20

RxR Closure Fairview

Westmont, Illinois -- Date Issued: May 19, 2021

The BNSF railroad crossing at Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove will be closed to traffic in both directions to replace sections of track and roadway panels. Work is expected to begin on Thursday, May 20 and continue for 11 days.  The crossing at Fairview is expected to be open again by Memorial Day.  This project may result in additional traffic and related delays at the Cass Avenue BNSF crossing during this improvement.
