“Our Shamrock Challenge was a huge success with more than 60 teams and 200 participants, so we’ve decided to do it again as a community-wide Easter Egg Hunt, however, this time the entire event is over one weekend,” said Kristina Kaniauskaite, Executive Director of Westmont Special Events. “We encourage everyone to sign up and participate in this fun for all ages event. The top 3 winning teams will receive awards and gift certificates.” Following are event details.
WSEC HOPPIN’ AROUND WESTMONT
COMMUNITY-WIDE EASTER EGG HUNT
- 100 Easter Eggs will be placed throughout the community in public spaces and in the windows of participating businesses and public buildings
- Each Easter Egg will be numbered - participants will use their Easter Egg challenge worksheet to write in the location that corresponds with each numbered egg
- 96 of the Easter Eggs will be worth 1 point each, however, there will be four Golden Easter Eggs worth 10 points each, and an Easter Bunny worth 14 points -- a total of 150 points can be earned in the contest
- Whichever team has the highest score wins; ties will be determined by which team turns in their answers first; all teams to turn in their sign-up form will be entered in a raffle
- All Easter Eggs will be in place from Saturday, April 3 through Sunday, April 4; all submissions must be received by the end of day April 4
- Sign up online - more details will be sent to participants prior to the start of the challenge
