Westmont, Illinois -- Date: March 17, 2021
Westmont Special Events Corporation (WSEC) recently hosted another 100th Anniversary-related event titled the Shamrock Challenge. In honor of the Village’s anniversary, 100 shamrocks were hidden throughout the community and residents were encouraged to sign up and find as many as they could. With a couple of leprechauns and 4-leaf clovers added to the mix, a perfect score for the contest would have been 150 points. Following are the results for the top 3 finishers. Tie scores were determined by whomever submitted their answers first.
1st Place - The Baldwin Family - 148 points
2nd Place - The Delano Family - 145 points (submitted March 14)
3rd Place - Janice Hornsberger & Chuck Boyles - 145 points (submitted March 15)
As promised in the event promotion, the Baldwin Family has now been officially proclaimed “Luckiest People in Westmont” and will receive event champion t-shirts to prove it. All top 3 finishers will receive various Westmont restaurant gift certificates. Top sponsors for the event included Kim Heller Baird & Warner, The Uptown, and Walsh’s Bar & Grill. Kim Heller helped announce the winners in a recorded video that is now published on the Westmont Special Events / Stanley Jamburger Facebook Page.
Stay tuned for the WSEC’s next event - the Hoppin’ Around Westmont Easter Egg Hunt. Details will soon be posted on the WSEC website at WestmontEvents.com.
