Westmont, Illinois - Date Issued: February 19, 2021
“The turnout for this event was amazing. I think everyone had a lot of fun while learning about Westmont’s history,” said 100th Anniversary Committee Co-Chair Larry McIntyre, who coordinated the trivia/scavenger hunt contest. “We made the contest very challenging on purpose. Anyone who completed the challenge had to put in a lot of research and work. Congratulations to everyone who participated.”
The contest consisted of 50 trivia questions and 50 scavenger hunt items combining for a total of 100 challenges. With 4 extra credit opportunities, 104 points would be a perfect score. Many of the questions were difficult and required research. Many of the challenges required participants to first solve the question, then go to a specific location and take a picture of the answer. Of the original 52 teams that signed up, only 7 teams scored 75 or more points.
