[ARCHIVED] WSEC Launches Holly Days Decorating & Finding Frosty Contests

FINAL Frosty poster

Westmont, Illinois - Date Issued: November 25, 2020

Following the success of their Halloween Decorating Contest and the Selfie with the Turkey Contest, the Westmont Special Events Corporation (WSEC) is launching two modified events for the holiday season.

FINDING FROSTY CONTEST

Starting Friday, December 11, our Frosty the Snowman will be at a different location every day through Sunday, December 20.  At the beginning of each day, we will provide a clue regarding where the snowman is hiding on that day.  When you find Frosty, take a selfie with him and post on the WSEC Facebook page and/or use the hashtag #westmontevents on Instagram.  The contest will last for 10 days, so a perfect score will consist of 10 selfies with Frosty at 10 different locations.  If you’re camera shy, you can simply take a picture of Frosty and send it in.  The team/person with the best score will win.  Contest results will be announced online December 21.

HOLLY DAYS HOME DECORATING CONTEST

The WSEC will be coordinating the Holly Days Home Decorating Contest.  Participants can either send in up to three pictures of their entry, or the WSEC will visit your home to take photos. All pictures of entries and contestant addresses will be published on social media for public voting.  All entries must be received by Sunday, December 13.  Online voting will begin December 14 and end at midnight on December 20.  Winners will be announced online December 21.
