As the Restore Illinois Plan moved to Phase 4 in July, the Westmont Special Events Corporation (WSEC) was considering a modified Westmont Cruisin’ Nights event, but due to the escalating health and safety concerns, as well as adhering to state guidelines, the WSEC has decided that there will be no Westmont Cruisin’ Night events in August.
“Ultimately, we need to be concerned about the well-being of all the people who come to our events,” said WSEC Executive Director Kristina Kaniauskaite. “We will continue to monitor the situation and plan for the future. Additionally, we are considering new events that will embrace social distancing.”
The WSEC is a not-for-profit volunteer-based organization that coordinates community events like the Taste of Westmont and Westmont Cruisin’ Nights as well as co-hosts events such as Wicked West Fest and Holly Days. For more information, contact the WSEC at wsec@westmontevents.com or 630-829-9378.
