The Village of Westmont has been partnering with SCARCE for many years. SCARCE is a not-for-profit organization that strives to inspire people through environmental education as well as aims to preserve and care for the Earth’s natural resources while working to build sustainable communities. SCARCE is proud to announce the opening of their new location at 800 South Rohlwing Rd. in Addison. SCARCE has been following state guidelines and now invites you to their new facility in Addison.
The new facility will include the following:
Book Rescue & Reuse Center
Qualifying visitors ( https://www.scarce.org/book-rescue/who-can-get-books-supplies/ ) with a current ID may shop Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Due to social distancing protocols, shoppers are encouraged to shop as efficiently as possible. No one under the age of 18 will be admitted. For more information, check the Reuse Center policies.
Donations
Material donations and drop-offs will be accepted by appointment only. Accepted items will be limited to books and records at this time. Please call 630-545-9710 to schedule a donation time. For more information, please review the donation policies.
Scarcely Used Books & Records
The used book and record sale will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Education & Volunteer Programs
In-person education programs are on hold, but live virtual programs are being offered. New volunteers must be over the age of 18 and be able to make a regular commitment. Please contact SCARCE for more information.
