This year’s community Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Westmont Jr. High School, 909 Oakwood Dr.. As always, the Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
“Sometimes our Veterans Day events have experienced bad weather, and because we have so many senior citizens who attend this event, we’ve moved the program indoors,” said Frank Trout, American Legion Commander and Purple Heart recipient from the Vietnam War. “We want to thank CUSD201 for providing us with a space to hold the event. The entire community is invited to attend.”
VILLAGE OFFICES CLOSED
The Westmont Village Hall and Village Department offices will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2019 in observance of Veterans Day. Normal business hours for the Village Hall and Village Departments will resume on Tuesday, November 11.
After-hour bill payments can be made via the Village of Westmont after-hours drop boxes located near the entrance of the Westmont Commuter Train Station on W. Quincy St. and at the Westmont Police Department located at 500 N. Cass Ave.
Recycling and garbage collection will not be disrupted.
