245 North Park Street - Variance Request
Board to consider an ordinance approving a Zoning Code Variance request from Roger and Elizabeth Mudrak to increase the maximum allowed size of an accessory building in the R-3 Single Family Detached Residence District.
Background of Subject Matter
Applicant requests a variance to construct a 12' x 16' shed in the rear yard of the property which exceeds the permitted size of 144 square feet by 48 square feet.
Additional Background
Planning & Zoning Commission discussed concerns of setting precedent for larger sheds, but acknowledged that the size of the property and removal of several smaller sheds uniquely justifies the request.

514 64th Street - Plat of Subdivision
Board to consider an ordinance approving a request from Peak Custom Homes LLC for Preliminary and Final Plat of Subdivision to split one lot into two in the R-1A Single Family Detached Residence District. 
Background of Subject Matter
One lot will be split into two residential lots, both meeting zoning requirements.The home on the site will be demolished and removed. One lot is currently under review for a new home that would be built following Board approvals.
Recommendation
Planning and Zoning Commission made a unanimous positive recommendation at the 6/13/2018 public meeting. Final engineering since that meeting has been completed and staff recommends approval.

The first set of Government Insurance Network (GIN) By-laws were approved at the 4/26/2018 Village Board meeting.

These updates were suggested by the GIN appointed attorney and reviewed by GIN members legal counsel.

Amendment to Section 38-1 - Brush Collection
Board to consider an ordinance approving the repeal and replacement of Section 38-1 in its entirety.
Background of Subject Matter
The Village's solid waste collection contract transferred the provision of brush collection services to our current franchisee, Waste Management. Therefore, this service is no longer being handled by the Village Public Works Department.
Additional Background
The Village Code must be updated to contain certain provisions and restrictions to reflect the current solid waste collection contract.
Recommendation
A motion was made at the 9-13-18 Admin / Finance Committee meeting directing the Village Attorney to construct an ordinance amending the Westmont Municipal Code.
