Hotel/Motel Grant Request - Rotary Club - 2022-23 Community Event Calendar
Board to consider a motion awarding a Hotel/Motel Grant in the amount of $2,500 to the Westmont Rotary Club for the 2022-23 Community Event Calendar.
- Background of Subject Matter
- This will promote events and activities of local government agencies, Chamber, WSEC, and service clubs to both residents and out of town visitors. The calendar will provide information and photos from events to showcase Westmont and attract visitors.

- This request mirrors the request approved in 2021. If this is approved the Rotary Club will have been awarded a total of $2,500 this fiscal year. We will have an additional $12,500 remaining in this budget.

Purchasing Text Amendment
Board to consider an ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article III, Section 2-161 of the Village Code of Ordinances to increase the threshold for purchase orders requiring board approval to $25,000.
- Background of Subject Matter
- The Finance and Administration Committee recently discussed increasing the Board approval threshold to match the State's required board approval for a bid of $25,000 or more.
- Additional Background
- In 2017, pursuant to Public Act 65 ILCS 5/ 8 -9-1, the bidding requirement threshold was increased from $20,000 to $25,000 in the statutes.

- The Village has settled the case of Village of Westmont vs. Lesner, 2020 ED 0003, pending approval of the settlement agreement by the Village Board.
