Hotel/Motel Grant Request - Rotary Club - Calendar

Board to consider a motion awarding a Hotel/Motel Grant in the amount of $2,500 to the Westmont Rotary Club for the Community Event Calendar.
Background of Subject Matter
This will promote events and activities of local government agencies, Chamber, WSEC, and service clubs to both residents and out of town visitors. The calendar will provide information and photos from events to showcase Westmont and attract visitors.
Additional Background
This request mirrors the request approved in 2019. If this is approved the Rotary Club will have been awarded a total of $2,500 this fiscal year. We will have an additional $22,500 remaining in this budget.

31 North Cass B-1 Permit for Golden Basket

Board to consider an ordinance allowing the Golden Basket Restaurant to obtain a B-1 Development Permit to operate a restaurant at 31 North Cass Avenue.  

Background of Subject Matter
The Golden Basket Restaurant plans to move into the vacant restaurant space at 31 North Cass. A B-1 permit is required.

No other zoning entitlements are required.

Quincy Station - 2nd Amendment to EDA

Board to consider an ordinance approving a Second Amendment to the Economic Development Agreement between the Village of Westmont and HP Quincy Partners, LLC for the Quincy Station project at 1 W. Quincy Street.
Background of Subject Matter
This 2nd Amendment provides that the Village will perform alley improvements adjacent to the project (west to Lincoln & north to Richmond) at the Village’s expense. The Village has awarded the bid & the approved contractor will perform the work.
Additional Background
A previous version of this 2nd Amendment had the developer’s contractor performing this work, at the Village’s expense. That version will be replaced by this new 2nd Amendment.

Award of Bid Proposal - 2021 63rd & Richmond Stormwater Basin Improvements

Board to consider an ordinance accepting the bid proposal from V3 Construction Group for the Village's 2021 63rd St & Richmond St. Storm water Basin Improvement Project, and authorizing a contract consistent with the bid document. 
Background of Subject Matter
This project plans to restore the stormwater storage, stabilize the banks of the detention pond, and develop additional stormwater storage. A Village monument sign will be installed at the NE corner of 63rd & Richmond as part of this project.
Additional Background
The Village accepted bid proposals from 3 contractors for the 2021 63rd & Richmond Storm water project. The low bidder is V3 Construction Group with a low bid of $758,816.01(approximately 15% below the engineers estimate of $893,514.00).

Staff recommends awarding the contract to V3 Construction Group for $758,816.01

Surplus Property - Westmont Fire Department

Board to consider an ordinance declaring miscellaneous Fire Department/Emergency Management Agency items as surplus property.   
Background of Subject Matter
The attached list of items were damaged due to a water leak at Station 182.
Additional Background
These items, upon being declared surplus and disposed of, will be removed from the Village's property inventory.

IGA - DuPage County - Water Quality Improvement Project

Board to consider an ordinance approving an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with DuPage County for the Detention basin retrofit water quality improvement project at 61st St. and Cumnor Road.

Background of Subject Matter
The Village is currently in Ph2 engineering design for the proposed 61st St and Cumnor Road Detention Basin Retrofit Project. The improvements include water quality features that qualify for the County's WQIP Grant Program.
Additional Background
Upon completion of this project, the Village will be reimbursed $134,211.55 for the water quality portion of the project.
