Board to conduct a public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Appropriations Ordinance.

Background of Subject Matter
In accordance with state statute, the Village must adopt an appropriation ordinance during the first quarter of the fiscal year. The appropriation ordinance is the legal limit of the maximum amount that can be spent if sufficient funds are available.
Additional Background
The appropriation ordinance should exceed the expected amount to be spent. The budget is the financial plan of what the Village intends to spend; this appropriation ordinance is the legal limit that can possibly be spent if changes are necessary.

Fire Pension Trustee Appointment

Board to consider a motion approving Mayor Gunter's appointment of Megan Williams, and reappointment of Spencer Parker, as members of the Board of Trustees of the Westmont Fire Pension Fund.

Background of Subject Matter
The two civilian members appointed by the Mayor serve 3-year terms. The current Board also includes the one active participant.
Additional Background
In the future, if the pension membership grows, the Pension Board could include one additional active member and one beneficiary. Active and beneficiary members would be elected by their respective members.
