The Planning and Zoning Division of the Economic Development Department serves customers by providing information on the zoning entitlement process for all types of development projects.
Site and landscaping plan review, subdivision approvals, permitted and special use approval, variances, and annexations are all administered through the division. Staff serves as liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission, which typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 pm in the Village Board room, 31 West Quincy Street. Agendas can be found by clicking on the date of the public hearing on the Village homepage.
The Village of Westmont Planning and Zoning Division is eager to work with developers regarding their projects and recommends scheduling a pre-application meeting to go over the filing requirements for initiating development review.
