Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for investigating possible Village Code violations, concerns and/or complaints reported by the public as well as identified through routine observations by staff. The mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to ensure that properties, structures, and the Village as a whole are code compliant, safe and kept in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.

The Village of Westmont has adopted the 2012 International Code Council Property Maintenance Code as its main tool for enforcement for code violations. If a citizen feels there is a code violation that needs investigation, please use the REPORT A CONCERN link on the Village Website home page and fill out a service request. This form will be automatically forwarded to the Code Enforcement Division for follow-up. The person filling out the request may then check back to monitor the progress until the case is closed out.

For information on a specific concern, please use the online version of our ordinances, MUNICODE, to search a particular topic, or check out our FAQ section.
