Accounting Clerk II (Part-Time) - Finance Department
The Village of Westmont, IL (pop. 24,685) Accounting Clerk II for Finance is responsible for a variety of clerical accounting tasks including maintenance of financial records, data entry of A/P, collating and distributing of A/P checks, journal entries, bank reconciliations, assists with audit prep, and provides backup support for Payroll and Business Office as needed.

Must be a dedicated individual with integrity and strength of character.  Requires thorough knowledge of administrative and accounting practices and procedures, use of personal computer and programs, accurate and proficient typing speed, attention to detail, and highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Starting hourly salary range is $21.29 - $22.90 (DOQ).  Average weekly hours are 30 hours per week.

Code Enforcement Officer - Community Development
The Village of Westmont, IL (pop. 24,685) Code Enforcement Officer - Community Development is responsible for enforcement of the 2012 International Property Maintenance Code (with local amendments) and the Community Development Department permitting procedures for construction projects; documenting violations; guiding compliance; and providing technical assistance to a variety of public.

Applicant must be a dedicated individual with integrity and strength of character.  Requires working knowledge of building codes, construction practices, zoning codes, and environmental regulations or municipal ordinance interpretation is preferred.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare, organize, and communicate field data reports is required.

PART-TIME CERTIFIED FIREFIGHTER II and EMT-B or EMT-P
The Village of Westmont is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT-B or EMT-P status for the Westmont Fire Department. This is a position with a progressive Department. The Village of Westmont is located in southeast DuPage County and serves an area of approximately eight square miles with a population of approximately 25,000 residents. Included in this area are Golfview Hills, and the North and South Westmont Fire Protection Districts. The Department responded to nearly 4300 fire and EMS calls this past year. The Department is an Accredited Agency and an ISO Class 2.
 
Requirements
  • Certified as a Firefighter II/ Basic Operations Firefighter.
  • Certified EMT-B or Paramedic within the Good Samaritan system or be able to test into the system.
  • Applicants should be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must obtain Illinois CPAT card at time of hire.
 
Salary
  • First year starting salary is $15.34 per hour for Firefighter EMT/B and $17.39 per hour for Firefighter EMT/P.
  • An additional 10% per hour is paid for day shifts and Saturday night shifts.
  • Double time is paid for specified Village holidays.
  • Shifts are twelve hour shifts from 0600-1800 and 1800-0600.
